Printed Size: 60 x 150 cm
Finally, the finished poster for my school subject Individual Research. I worked a LONG time on it, and I was pretty proud of it too. Backgrounds and animals are definitely not my strong area, so it was fun to research and practice them a bit. Especially the polar bears. They are SO HARD to draw, le foo! xD
In the end however it didn't turn out the way it was meant to (it never does, after all).
My experiment was to create a postercomic or comicposter of a size I had never really seen my work in before, and then having it tell a story too. I ran into various problems,
such as; How do the scenes come together? What size should the text be? And, most importantly, where should I place the text so that the readers won't accidentally skip ahead in the storyline?
In the end my result wasn't perfect, and there are still plenty of things I should research and/or work on, but I really got into this project, and I'd love to make more things in this format. And doing it right, too! :)
Below are some close-ups:
Special thanks to my wonderful Jac, for helping me find
the right words to tell the story of the Global Warming Bear. :)
